Who we are
The Shala was founded by Malak after completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training in Bali—a time that planted the seeds for something deeper than just movement. It became clear that yoga wasn't just a physical practice, but a way to reconnect, to heal, and to come back to oneself.
When she returned home, Malak wanted to create a space that felt different—more intimate, more human, and more honest. Not a studio where people feel they have to perform or compete, but one where they feel safe to slow down, explore, and simply be.
The Shala isn’t about perfect poses or packed classes. It’s about showing up as you are—whether that means strong, tired, curious, emotional, or anything in between. We honor that. Every class is an invitation to move with intention, breathe with awareness, and leave a little more grounded than when you came in.
This is a space for community, reflection, and growth. We’re happy you found us—and we hope The Shala becomes a place you return to, again and again.
